What is the evil eye(Nazar dua)?

The Arabic word al-‘ayn (evil eye) refers to if a person is harmful to another person’s eye. It starts when the individual likes something, and his evil feelings affect him by staring at the object of his jealousy repeatedly.

So the evil eye is real?

Yes! The Prophet Sallallahu’ alayhi WA sallam said:

The evil eye is real, and if anything were to overtake the divine decree (al-qadar) it would be the evil eye [Muslim]

What our Prophet (PBUH) said about Evil Eye?

Our Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) spoke about the presence of the Evil Eye and instructed his followers to recite certain Quranic verses to protect themselves. The evil eye is a reality in Islam. It could be powerful.

The scholars demonstrate it is the will of God. Allah SWT often creates adverse effects from others’ evil or jealous eyes and looks.
The Prophet (PBUH) said,

“Beware of envy, for it consumes good deeds just as fire consumes wood or grass.” (Abī Dāwūd 4903)

Duas for evil eye protection – Nazar Duas

LetsreadQuran provides Duas for the protection of the evil eye. They’re not the answer for someone who has been afflicted by the evil eye, except for the latter.

That after someone is already affected, it takes a long time to make the dua in an attempt to heal the troubled. However, as humans, we will avoid jealousy by learning to protect against the sunna the Prophet (PBUH) using the medicine.

Some safety measures for evil eye protection we can take are as follows:

  •  Every morning and night, ideally three times, we should recite the three Quls (Qul Huwa Allahu Ahad, Falaq, Naas). It also recommended once before you go to sleep in the evening and after every prayer. It will achieve in your heart and mind’s presence.
  •  Every morning and every night, we will recite Ayat al-Kursi. It’s always best to describe it before going into bed at night and after all the prayers. It would help if you also focused on these verses’ essential meanings.
  •  We should always beg Allah to protect us from the evil eye. We should always pray to Him. One of the best prophetic supplication’s (Bukhari, Tirmidhi, Abu Dawud, Ahmad, and others) we have given for hasad is:

أَعُوذُ بِكَلِمَاتِ اللَّهِ التَّامَّةِ مِنْ كُلِّ شَيْطَانٍ وَهَامَّةٍ وَمِنْ كُلِّ عَيْنٍ لَامَّةٍ

A’udhu bi kalimaatillahi teammate min kulli Shaytaan in wa haamma wa min kulli `aynin llama.
I seek refuge in the perfect words of Allah from every devil, harmful thing, and accusing eye.

Before all the big acts we want to do, we will try to beg (make dua). We will ask Allah SWT to grant us prosperity and integrity and to make this action a means of achieving Allah’s Most Merciful Life and Happiness (Rida).

Conclusion

An individual should commit to the remembrance of Allah the All-Powerful. The most important thing before going to sleep throughout the day and the evening does Dhikr. Dhikr maybe essence to protect a person from the evil that may attempt to penetrate his armor. So, like the beloved Prophet, we will seek to do Dhikr.
